Emergency services have rushed two women to hospital after a collision between a car and a horse-drawn cart.
The incident unfolded on Soldiers Rd near Norman Rd in Mundijong, an outer suburb in Perth’s southeast, about 12pm on Thursday.

Police said a 65-year-old woman driving the buggy and her 30-year-old female passenger had been heading north.
“At the same time, a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 30-year-old female, was also travelling north on Soldiers Rd behind the buggy. For unknown reasons the Jeep has collided with the buggy,” WA Police said.
The horse-drawn carriage driver was in a critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital on Thursday night.

Her passenger, taken to RPH with serious injuries, is stable.
The Jeep driver was uninjured.
Sadly one of the horses died at the scene. The other was injured and is being monitored.
The RAC rescue helicopter was dispatched but not used in the end, DFES said.
Major Crash detectives are now examining the scene and working to uncover how and why the crash unfolded.
