A young boy is fighting for life in hospital after he was struck by a car driven by a relative, police said.
The incident unfolded in the driveway of a family home in Karnup, in Perth’s outer southern suburbs, when a Hyundai Tuscon exited onto Isabelline Tce just before 9.30pm on Wednesday.
Police said the boy, aged seven, is related to the person who was driving the car that struck him.

The child was initially rushed by ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital with serious injuries.
He was then transferred to Perth Children’s Hospital “where he remains in critical condition”.
The Major Crash unit will investigate.
