A Perth man has escaped injury after a car ploughed through his living room, narrowly missing him as he gamed on Friday morning.
Thomas Trenaman was stunned by a “massive boom” about 6.10am.
That sound was a silver Mercedes wiping out a brick wall, large tree and street sign before crashing into his home on Williams St in Mount Lawley, in Perth’s northern suburbs.

“The tree came in after a massive boom and I ran out yelling,” he told 7NEWS.
“The tree kind of slapped me in the face so (it was very close).”

His loungeroom has now been left in a mess of debris and glass and the cleanup and repairs are set to take some time.
WA Police Inspector Geoff DeSanges said the female driver, who was believed to have been wearing activewear, fled the scene before police could speak with her.
She is yet to be found and inquiries are ongoing.

DeSanges said police believed speed was a factor in the crash.
“We are very keen to talk to that individual,” he said.
“A car crashing into a house is of grave concern. People could have been seriously injured, let alone killed, so it is of utmost importance to us to interview that individual and determine what occurred.”
It is not the first time something like this has unfolded at the Mount Lawley property.
Trenaman’s housemate Genevieve Mohacsy said their brick wall was fixed just three weeks ago because someone had previously crashed their car through it.
