A Perth business owner says she only moved away from where a car’s destructive path came to an end just seconds before the vehicle cannoned through her front window.
Security video captured the frightening moment an elderly woman ploughed a Mazda sedan into the candle shop store in Osborne Park on Friday afternoon.

Shannon Fragomeli said that if the crash had occurred just a moment earlier, she would have been standing directly in the path of the flying car.
“I feel like when the impact came in and I just saw my world explode it felt like my heart and my brain broke into a million pieces too,” she said.
Fragomeli, who runs The Prospect Project on Guthrie Rd, said she was still working out how she will pick up the pieces of her business

Days on and she still can’t bring herself to head back to the store.
“I’m unsure of how I’m going to go back in there and present a workshop and make a fun experience for people,” she said.
“I’m worried that people won’t feel safe coming there.”
An 80-year-old woman was behind the wheel of the Mazda and escaped serious injury.
Police have investigated and no charges will be laid.

Fragomeli has sought counselling and said she would recommend it to anyone going through something like this.
“I made a promise to my five-year-old daughter that I would be resilient and I would rebuild and I would be OK because I want her to be a resilient young woman,” she said.
“I’m definitely not gonna break a promise to my five-year-old.”
