Residents have described the horrific sound that alerted them to a motorcycle crash that killed two people in Perth’s north.
The man, aged 39, and his female pillion passenger, aged 35, both died after their Honda motorbike collided with a silver Toyota Aurion on Pinjar Rd in Tapping about 9.20pm on Sunday night.
The bike came to a stop more than 50m away from where the two vehicles collided.

The man died at the scene.
The woman was taken to Joondalup Hospital, where she died a short time later.

The driver of the sedan remains in hospital with injuries to her eye.
One witness said “you could hear the bike coming”.
“Then it was just silence pretty much straight after,” he told reporters.
“It was horrific, it was chaos. It’s not something I’d like to see again.”
Major Crash is investigating and anyone with information or vision should contact police.
