Gomez sprinted dangerously onto Perth’s busy Graham Farmer Fwy where he waved down an Uber.
From the passenger seat, he grabbed the steering wheel with one hand while using the other to push down on the Corolla’s accelerator.
The rampage was only brought to a close when police smashed into his car head-on.

Vision of the chase, which traumatised many of the officers involved, was released by judge Charlotte Wallace after Gomez was sent to prison for four years and three months for robbery and being armed to cause fear.
She described the police involved in Gomez’s capture as exceptionally brave.
Gomez will be eligible for parole with two years remaining on his sentence.
With time already served in custody, he could be released in December.
