Horror head-on collision in Baldivis, Perth

Several people have been trapped in a horrific smash in Perth’s south.

Two cars collided head-on on Sixty Eight Rd near Hearth Wy in Baldivis just after 5pm on Wednesday.

Five people — four in one car and one in the other — are all understood to have been trapped.

Authorities have not yet spoken on their injuries or their current condition.

Four ambulances and the rescue chopper was dispatched to the scene shortly after frantic calls were made to emergency services.

7NEWS understands the rescue chopper has taken someone to hospital.

The crash unfolded in front of several homes.

“Police are currently responding to a serious accident on Sixty Eight Road, near Hearth Way, in Baldivis,” WA Police said earlier.

“About 5.10pm, police and emergency services were called to reports of a head-on collision involving two vehicles.”

Police have urged people to avoid the area, with local roads expected to be closed for some time.
