WA Police say a 48-year-old woman found dead in Perth’s northern suburbs may have been hit by a car.

“Early indications suggest the woman was hit by a vehicle, with the vehicle and driver currently outstanding,” authorities said in a statement.
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch had earlier flagged police suspected a vehicle was involved but said “nothing’s off the table at the moment”.
The Homicide Squad — which spent the day gathering CCTV, hopeful cameras along the busy road caught a glimpse of the car involved — and Major Crash detectives are leading the investigation.

A 700m stretch of Wanneroo Rd between Sylvia St and Morley Dr was closed until about 5.30pm while authorities investigated.
The 16-hour disruption caused major traffic delays for morning commuters, with drivers re-routed around the investigation zone.
Anyone in the area between 12.45am and 1.15am, who witnessed any suspicious people or vehicles or who has dashcam or CCTV footage, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
