Coldplay announces major Australian tour news

Off the back of their sell-out Perth shows, Coldplay has announced an extension of the Australian leg of their Music Of The Spheres world tour.

However, fans will have to wait a year — with the band returning to Australia to perform across October and November 2024.

The news follows backlash over the initial announcement that the tour would only come to Perth, where they performed two shows at the weekend.

The band has not performed in Sydney or Melbourne since November 2016.

On that tour, the band performed five concerts in three states, NSW, Queensland and Victoria — with Western Australia missing out.

Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres world tour has sold more than six million tickets since it launched early in 2022.
